Quick Start

Soaring Sat Tracker is a self-managed web platform that enables glider pilots to link their satellite tracking devices— Garmin inReach or SPOT—with the Open Glider Network (OGN). Once configured, your device's position reports are automatically forwarded to OGN for real-time tracking and visibility.

Users can create an account to manage their tracking devices, including the ability to update or modify the associated ICAO identifier.

Create an account

Click login

If this is your first time on the website, click Register Here

Enter your email, first name, last name, and a password that conforms with the requirements

Log in

After you create your account you'll be logged in automatically

If you aren't, log in and click My Devices

Your email will be on the top right nav bar (collapsed into 3 lines on mobile).

Add a device

For Inreach

Add your inreach username and glider ICAO ID

For SPOT

Add your SPOT XML ID and glider ICAO ID

After you add a device, you can view and manage your devices by clicking My Devices while logged in

Your device may say Not Found for up to 30 mins while your info gets added to the scripts.

View All Devices

Browse the list of all registered devices, including your own.

Click https://soaringsattracker.com/listall/ or click All Devices to see all devices registered

There is a quick filter table if you are looking for a particular owner, glider, CN, or ICAO ID, to use it just click the search bar and start typing
